Lakelands Estate is an award winning master planned development in the City of Mandurah. Hyd2o have been involved in the Lakelands East, Westlake and Town Centre Precincts over the last 9 years.

Hyd2o prepared the Local Water Management Strategy for East Lakelands as part of the Outline Development Plan, and prepared the subsequent UWMP documents to support staged development. As part of these works we undertook site specific infiltration testing, completed stormwater modelling, and designed and implemented successful post development hydrological monitoring programs.

The development of the LWMS had considerable constraints due to the presence of two Environmental Protection Policy Lakes, one with Conservation status. The design of the stormwater and groundwater management system considered the water quality in the wetlands and provided significant buffer areas and biofilters for their protection.
